UK Based Work Experience Programme

..........Continued

Where are we based?

Our programmes take place in Warwick, Warwickshire UK and there are many reasons why participants enjoy coming to this location. Warwick is:

  • A very safe, peaceful and historic town. Small enough to make participants feel confident but big enough to enjoy and have fun.

  • Easy to navigate so participants can get to know the town quickly and become independent in a short time.

  • In a Central Location.  It is in the heart of England and an easy train and coach ride to the most important cities such as London, Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, and Birmingham.

  • In The Land of Shakespeare. It is one of the most important tourist destinations in the UK.  This is the area where William Shakespeare, the greatest contributor to the English Language was born.  Participants will explore the area of one of the most famous writers and playwrights, see his influence through the years and will combine culture with Warwickshire’s great outdoors.

  • In the Midlands. The birthplace of many forms of transport and sports. With a rich history, there are many things to discover.

**Accommodation

Participants accommodation is with our HOME-STAY families. This ensures they have maximum opportunity to learn English whilst at the same time give them an experience of UK culture, food, customs, and traditions.  Participants will join the home-stays activities and daily life.  This is a great way to practice English conversation skills outside of the work experience programmes environment.

Our home-stay families are:

  • Of a High Standard. We regularly meet all the families and our Accommodation Officer regularly visits and inspects all homes.

  • Warm & Welcoming.  They are open-minded people who take both a pride and pleasure in sharing their knowledge of the English language as well as the history and culture.

  • Matched to Participants: Wherever possible we match individual preferences to our home-stay families and we also provide profiles of all home-stay family homes.

Please Note:

  • The costs are per week 7 nights, (if participants wish to stay longer there is a £28 per night charge).

  • Participants attending with their families may wish to stay in privately organised, self-catering accommodation. If this is the case, the cost of accommodation is taken off the full programme cost. Please let us know if you wish to arrange your own accommodation and we will send a revised quote. We have a list of several Bed and Breakfast, self-catering, Air BnB, and hotel facilities which we are happy to send if needed.
